Caring For Your Candle
- Before lighting for the first time ensure your wick is only approx. 5mm in length and burn for a minimum of 3 hours to prevent tunnelling of the wax
- Ensure the wax pool meets the edges of the vessel every burn
- With each subsequent burn, again ensure to trim the wick to approx. 5mm to prevent the wick from smoking and mushrooming
- Allow the candle to cool before lighting again
- Do not burn your candle for longer than 3 hours at a time, this will prevent overheating of the jar and possible cracking. If you have a centerpiece wait until the wax meets the edges of the vessel before distinguishing
- When the candle has reduced to approx. 1cm of remaining wax, discontinue to use to avoid the jar overheating and either breaking or burning the surface it is on
